About Us

The Working Artists Forum started meeting in Easton, Maryland in 1979. In 1981 the group became a legal affiliation to the Academy of the Arts. This affiliation was terminated in 1991 and The Working Artists Forum became a not for profit corporation May 20, 1991.

Objectives

The WAF is an organization consisting of painters working in one or more medium. Professional expertise of its membership is fostered through programs, group critiques, demonstrations, workshops, and member exhibitions. Pro bono work for the community is encouraged.
