My paintings are of what I love and live around. I try to capture scenes in my natural surroundings. I live on a farm on the Little Choptank River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, with my husband, dogs, chickens, surrounded by wild geese, deer, fox and wild turkeys. With a passion for the land and water around me, I am developing my oil painting to express that environment. I take inspiration from the expansive landscape, the changing season, the cycle of the crops, migrations and human activities such as working the water, sailing and gardening.
