My approach to painting is based on academic study and connection with the local artistic community, including study with master painters. My interest in painting is to explore connection with subjects that speak to my heart. The personal (portraits and figures), the beautiful (our world), and the spirit (ideas about the personal and beautiful) are my motivation. I enjoy working in watercolor and oil and exploring mixed media.
