Dates:

Deliver Work: Sunday, March 14th, 1 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
(work must be labeled (label included in PDF – click here to download) and in labeled bubble bags or boxes, no bubble wrap with tape!)
Hang: Strathmore will hang exhibit March 15 – 19
Opening: Saturday, March 20th
Reception (catered by Strathmore): To Be Determined
Pick up Work: Saturday, May 22nd, 10 a.m. to Noon
Deadline for submitting high resolution images for publicity (this is a requirement for acceptance in the exhibit): Tues, Nov 10th, 2020*
Commission: 30% (factor this in when pricing your work)
A $35 entry fee made out to WAF or via PayPal is required at time of application, by November 10th, 2020

*As this is a very prestigious venue in Bethesda, MD, your absolute best work should be submitted. Please post a high resolution image of the actual painting (without frame) you are planning to place in the exhibit online with your application by Nov 10th, 2020 or email to Georgette at gtoews@verizon.net. Images should be 300 dpi and about 1 MB or 300 dpi with at least 1200 pixels on the longest side.

While all reasonable care will be taken, the Working Artists Forum and Strathmore Mansion and their assigns are not responsible for accidents or damage to you or your work. The Working Artists Forum is not responsible for any monetary losses, including bad checks or credit cards used in the purchase of any art. In addition, Strathmore Mansion imposes the following requirements on framing of the art. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Art not meeting these requirements will be rejected.

“Artwork must arrive at Strathmore in Exhibition Ready condition, complete with necessary hardware for installation and ready to hang with “D”rings. Artwork will be fit with 3/4” “D”rings or larger or No. 2010 Screw Eyes with a small eye at size 209 and above, or any No. 2012 Medium Eye Screw Eyes or larger installed at 1/4 of total height down from top of artwork to ensure Artwork hangs flush to wall. Cleats and Sawtooth hangers are not suitable with the hanging system.”

“In addition, artists must agree to a 90-day period after the exhibition closes, which sales of work on exhibition during the Event and viewed by the patron at Strathmore are subject to the 30% commission payable to Strathmore by the individual artists upon completion of the sale.”
